First try

I am pretty new to beadweaving... I have been weaving for a couple years now... but looking back I don't really consider it truly beadweaving... you know... the cutsie little one strand RAW bracelets.... nothing too complicated. It wasn't until recently that I really began to get into more complicated things. I most recently tried a Cellini spiral. I found an article online and tried it! I LOVED it! SO much fun! My husband thought I was crazy! He didn't understand how stitching one bead at a time could be relaxing. Its all about instant gratification for him! I tried to explain that it helps me unwind after a long day of chasing after my 3 girls... yes, sometimes when things get a little crazy I pop in a movie and pull out my beads and just pray the kids will watch while I try and catch my breath, and bead for a little while (never really works out... but I keep trying) but mostly, it is safest to wait till they are in bed. THEN I get down to business and try and get as much accomplished as I can. Things have been going SLOWLY in the beading dept here for me... but here are my 2 latest attempts.

Amanda, sounds like you have your hands full. Yes, whether people realize it or not, beading is soothing to our souls. I keep getting how can you work with those little beads. I guess when you become a beadaholic, you have not choice. LOL Just keep working on it as you can and it will sooth your mind and soul.

I also feel beading as relaxing, I dream about beads. You can say I'm a beadaholic. I also have only start to bead a couple years ago and I love everyminute of it :O)

Your venture into more demanding beading is sure paying off. Great work. Keep it up.

Beautiful work! I remember when my son was small and I couldn't get anything done till after bedtime. :-)

Been there and done that! when my 2were young it seemed I had to fight to have time to do my stuff. Now that their 15 and 16 it is much easier. And of course beading is so easy to take with me as I now follow along with them!Beautiful job on both pieces!
